Dear members and prospective members,
Welcome to the 2009-2010 LAAIW season!
I hope everyone has enjoyed a summer of fun and is getting ready for the upcoming LAAIW season. I am so honored to be returning to the board and assuming my new role as President. With returning board member Suzanne Highet Kaiser taking on the Vice Presidency and Stacy Feit and Kelly Alexander joining this year as Treasurer and Membership I am confident that we will continue the tradition of bring our members great topics of discussion.
I want to thank Denise Ellyson our past President for paving the way to an easier transition, her insight and leadership have been invaluable. I am also sorry to see Irene and Katherine leave the board, their work has been such a part of our past success. I started on the board with Irene and her years of service have been greatly appreciated by us all.
Our kick-off meeting on Thursday, September 17, 2009 was a great success. Thank you all for joining the event and sharing all of your experiences with prospective members. I look forward to seeing all of you at the upcoming luncheon on November 19, 2009.
